Anthropic files to go public: $16.3B in revenue in six months

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has filed its S-1 with the SEC to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker “ANT”. According to the filing, it brought in about $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, up from about $1.16 billion a year earlier. There's no price or share count yet.

Why you should care

Growing revenue 14x in a year says a lot about how much Claude is being used, especially by companies and for coding. Going public gives Anthropic more money to compete with OpenAI and Google, but also more pressure to make money. Keep an eye on Claude's prices and plans over the next few months.
