Google brings ads to AI Mode in 10 more countries, and Mexico is next
Google is bringing AI Mode ads to Australia, Canada, India, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Singapore, and plans to add Brazil, Mexico and the UK in Q4 2026. In the US, it's launching ads in follow-up questions. Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns are opted in automatically, no setup needed.
Why it matters
Google's AI answers are starting to carry ads, just like good old search: what it recommends won't always be neutral. If you run a business in Latin America, get ready: your campaigns could end up there without you doing a thing.
